TO BREAK THE SEAL

Something ancient stirs beneath the sandstone cliffs of Bennetts Rise - a hunger that Aboriginal ceremonies kept sealed for millennia, until Jacob Bennett's bloody massacre of 1840 shattered those ancient bonds. The Catholic Church tried to contain it, building a Gothic nunnery above the nightmare that dwelled below. In 1952, their failure was marked by a mysterious fire that claimed thirty-seven lives.

Now the nunnery stands abandoned, its dark windows watching over the small Australian town. When Ruth Devonport arrives with her teenage son Seb, she sees only a historic building ripe for restoration. But as her husband's mining company drills deeper into the cliff face, they breach barriers that should never have been broken.

Shadows begin to move in ways shadows shouldn't. An almost-voice whispers from the darkness below. And young Seb discovers he has a terrifying connection to whatever is awakening beneath the Rise.

As reality itself begins to unravel and ancient hungers reach toward the light, Seb must make an impossible choice. The old ways of containing the darkness required willing sacrifice - and some prices must be paid with full understanding of their terrible cost.

"To Break The Seal" weaves Aboriginal Dreamtime mythology with Gothic horror in a blood-chilling tale of ancient evils and necessary sacrifices.
